There are so many opportunities to capture beautiful photographs of your growing baby in their first year.  

What makes these sessions such a treat is that babies around this stage are becoming very smiley, playful and curious!  So we can usually get great big smiles and fun expressions. 

A sitter session typically takes place between baby’s sixth to tenth month.

There is no exact or correct time, as all babies achieve their milestones at slightly different ages. The shoot should take place once your baby can sit up unaided, but before they can crawl away! This allows us to sit them on the floor and capture adorable images of them looking around and smiling. A lot of parents like this shoot around the six month mark, since it represents the halfway point to their first birthday.

Props are a great added feature in a sitter shoot, but it is best to keep them to a minimum. You do not want the scene to detract from the focus and beauty of our main subject – your baby! Props are simply used as an enhancement to the setup to lend a natural and timeless look.  For example, a soft beautiful blanket or fur rug for your baby to sit or lay on.

If you have any personalised items that you want to use (a sentimental piece or a treasured teddy bear etc - you are more than welcome to have these in the photoshoot set up).

 

It is completely up to you what you want to dress your baby in for the sitter shoot. It can be anything from a simple vest, or an adorable outfit. We can typically get two different outfits in one session. This will give plenty of variety for your baby’s portraits.

 

Sitter Session - £80

• 45 minute session time.

• The shoot includes full use of my available props.

• 10 digital images, fully edited in a personalised gallery for you to download - includes Print Release (allowing you to print from the digital images for personal use only).

• Additional images can be purchased, £7.50 per image

• Sitter sessions take place at my home in my conservatory in BB9 - near Marsden Golf Club and are available to take place on a week day.

A deposit of £30 is required to secure your booking for the Sitter session. The remainder of the balance is to be paid 24hrs prior to the shoot.
